I acquired a Soundblaster XFi Fatality while in America, and I'm amazed by it - you can really HEAR the difference between it and an Audigy 2!

I wanted to get a second one for the other gaming machine, but I can't - according to Creative, they don't do the Fatality range of hardware over here.

To get equivalent performance, I'd have to buy the top of the line, much more expensive than the Fatality, Platinum XFi. I'm willing to do that, but its rather annoying, since I'm paying for features I don't want, because they don't do a card of equivalent price to the Fatality with the features I do.

How come we always get ripped off over here :(

Thanks for the link - I used to love Scan.co.uk, although I got sick of them selling stuff that they did't actually have in stock, and delaying shipping an entire order for the sake of one bit - then complaining when you ask to cancel that part to get the rest shipped.

There are quite a few X-Fi cards, but the majority of them don't have extra memory on them devoted to the sound processing - in the UK its only the more expensive of the cards that have that. The Fatality is a bit like the Music Pro one, but without the extra junk, so a bit cheaper.
