Hi guys, sorry I'm late Wolf. Very long shift at work today.

Those temps (when gaming) are very high. I'd hazard the cpu is causing the standby simply to stop from going molten.

Can you post pics of your case airflow setup? Or just describe the layout of your case (including where the fans are, if any).

You might also want to check, if you're confident enough, that the heatsink and fan mounted on the Athlon is correctly fitted.

Ok Wolf what make and model is it, how old is it, have you ever opened it up,does it make any groaning noises when you boot it up.Is there any noise or screen judder before it locks up. Is it only when you play a specific game or is it random.
