I thought I would post a little warning based on my experiences recently. I usually buy MSI or PNY for graphics cards - not because of a huge brand preference, but because they're the easiest brands to get hold of if I'm buying in my local area. I ended up buying 2 Leadtek graphics cards in January - they were the best model / highest performance in the shop. I wish I hadn't bothered. One of them failed, and I contacted Leadtek to RMA the thing. They demanded a reciept, which I provided. It was a printed reciept, but it was printed on A4 paper, and they hadn't seen one in that format before, or something, so they got all whingey. I asked the shop to do me another one, and they agreed that I could provide their phone number in case Leadtek had more problems, and just tell them to call the shop. After much back and forth emailing they agreed it was their graphics card I'd purchased (um, DUH! Leadtek, what do you think, that Gigabyte stick 'Leadtek' stickers on so they can avoid RMAs or something) and said I could return the card. They sent a broken one back in its place. I asked them to replace that one. Same again. Thankfully, third time the card worked - but I was without a second graphics card for almost 8 weeks. Never.Again. Seriously - last time a PNY card failed on me one email sorted it out - in fact they actually replaced it with a BETTER MODEL than the one I'd bought. MSI do great support too. I am very, very disappointed with Leadtek. The support guys are rude, and incompetant IMO :(

Damn, that's bad news seeing as I just bought a GeForce 7300GT from Leadtek. I think I still have the warranty handy but I'll watch out for any problems when I build my computer.

Now and again companies will mess us around Logitech is what I think is a good company they make good stuff. A while back I baught a PC wheel from them and found out what their customer support was like. The power for the stering wheel failed afer a few weeks so I rang them and they said they would send another plug for it even though I told them it was a loose socket on the device. Two weeks later and nothing so I phoned again and they said they have my details on the computer but no plug was sent doh. Took me ages to get my money back. I think it was a call centre in India from the sound of the guy on the phone. They should of checked that I was sorted out rather than do nothing and pretend I would get used to a device that does'nt work.

I hate it when company's mess things up, it's not the fact that they mess things up it's the fact that it 'always' seem's to happen with me, it's the same with my ISP provider.. It makes me so made! Get things right first time!

Reuben - I hope your card is fine. I've only had a couple of graphics cards fail on me, it doesn't happen too often, so hopefully you won't need to contact them. CGMAN - I always thought that logitech were good too :( I hate bad companies, thankfully I haven't had too many bad experiences - most companies fall over themselves to sort things out when they go wrong. I guess I've been lucky, and thats why I notice the bad ones.
