Hi guys, I just wanted to ask which is the better computer for my gaming needs. I mostly play "Counter-strike: source" and "World Of Warcraft". I want to be able to play smoothly and effectively, with no lag and great graphics etc. Both these computers are around my budget, however I'm not sure which is more worht my time.

The "Gamer Infinity SLI KO GT" on this page

or

This system

Both will come to around the same price once a monitor is added to the second one etc, so which would you guys say will perform better?

Thanks alot

Out of those, probably the one from Overclockers, however you could probably build a better, more suited one for cheaper.

Oh dear me. Not the first from Cyber. What a mish-mash of components and the price is unreasonable.

Overclockers (as well as having better service) are also selling you a much more balanced system. Pre-oc'd as well, which will be covered in the warranty. (Any further user oc'ing won't be).

If it was me though? I'd ditch the Antec 900 (it is a good case though) and upgrade to the CM RC-1000. It's quite simply a superb, and larger, case.

But at stock configuration I can't see a single component in the Overclockers build that I wouldn't personally recommend.

Yeh, the Overclockers one is much better. Not a bad price either.

And Alex why would you recommend the other case? Does the case really matter other than looks?

The case is mainly just personal preference, and I personally much prefer the look of the Antec, the RC-1000 looks too plasticky and gimmicky to me. The Antec can be a pain to keep clean though with all of its fans.

The main points I guess of a good case out its looks, its cooling ability, and its design.

A bad case is really annoying to work inside, especially when there are sharp edges etc. Also, with the massive new graphics cards, some cases can be a bit of a squeeze, especially with SLI etc. But then again, some cases are so big that they just look ugly and are monstrous to move around, lol.

I recommended the RC because of it's cooling prowess and the ease of upgrade (more room) should you add a new gpu or expansion card.

It's also less prone to dust build up inside. But that's something easily solved as long as you keep up with it.

I also prefer it's aesthetics, but that's purely a personal standpoint.

The 900 is a good case, make no mistake. But it can be fiddly to build a neatly wired pc inside of it with less room and the fact you have to daisy chain the power leads for the case-fans.

Still, the RC is nearly £50 extra on the site.

Another case you might be interested in, is the Antec1200. It's the 900's big brother, and therefore has larger and more fans, and has more space inside, but also costs less than the RC-1000, and in my opinion looks nicer than both.

I'll second that!
