My money has come through and it's time to build my custom PC (At long bloomin' last) amongst getting driving lessons and a car (Yeah, lot of money =P)

Any thought's on my PC would be appreciated!

Antec 1200 Case
1Tb Samsung Spinpoint F1 drive
Gigabyte EG41MF-S2H(S022019)
Intel C2Q Q6600 (Yes, I do need quad core unfortunately)
Sapphire ATi HD4870 1Gb
Antec 550W Modular PSU
Geil Black Dragon DDR2 PC-6400 Quad channel 5-5-5-15 timing (8Gb of these)
Price of about £775 excluding delivery. Any thought's or changes?

Not the greatest build.

Case is poor, the F1s are pretty mediocre now with the 640GB Blacks and 7200.12s on the market, the G41 is a very budget HTPC-esque chipset, you haven't specified why you need the Q6600, Antec PSUs minus the Earthwatts are frequently mediocre, and I suppose the RAM is alright.

I would do P182/640GB WD/P45-UD3L/Q6600/4870/HX520/that RAM.

And a British price would be on that? Not looking to spend much more than I have there.

I need quad core because I do a lot of encoding music and videos and the speed would make things go a bit faster and they're not bad for gaming either. I'm looking for 1Tb of space cos I am terrible at deleting things and using up space, everything I delete it turns out I need..

It shouldn't be any more.

Typically for the price of an F1 you can usually get two 500GB 7200.12s.

Just seen an 850W SLi ready power supply by NorthQ for a good price (Around £60) and was wondering if the NorthQ PSU will burst into flames the second I go near it or will it be good for my PC?

It will, sorry.

If it's not Corsair/PC P&C/Seasonic you're either getting a poor deal or it's gonna blow up. Your build could technically go on a 400CX but I'd imagine it's probably a good idea to give a bit of headroom for efficiency purposes, which is why I usually suggest the 520HX.
