| Hi everybody maybe I am just paranoid but does anybody know about tracking devices on laptops? Is it a software issue, hardware issue, or either. I only recently heard about this option but I am getting no relevant hits on "track" in windows help facility. I use my laptop a lot on public transport and would like to enable this device if possible. I looked on the net and the only information was that you could attach a GPS responder to your laptop, pam pilot etc I have a Dell D600, Intel Centrino 1.5G, 512Mb, 30G, DVD/CDRW, Wireless, Win XP. Regards. |

| well you can get software based ones that sends the thief's ip address and gps location to the police once he/she has connected to the internet but then you have to rely on him/her not formatting the drive or checking for the software before he/she connects to the internet. heres a gps tracker that sends the location to your phone but is big and would be hard to conseal in your laptop unless if you had it hidden in a laptop bag http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TR-102-REAL-TI...QQcmdZViewItem |
