Default TV tuner problems

Just bought one of the Medion PCs from Tesco, fairly happy with it so far, manual as usual complete crap - so .... I can't get the TV tuner to work at all. Attempted to set it up in Vista Media Centre, can't find any other software info relating to the tuner. Keeps saying "no signal". I wonder if I am doing something really stupid/not doing something really stupid. Spent 3 hours setting up wireless connection on the damn thing as Vista didn't like my BT software at all - so my brain fried. Any help would be really really welcome, thanx!!

No signal may indicate that something is wrong with the aerial connection.

If it is a digital (freeview) tuner the supplied mini aerial isn't going to cut it.

You need an input from a proper house aerial.

Well as far as I can tell there isn't an aerial supplied, unless it's somehow integral. And I can't find an aerial connector - would video to tv cable do it, do you think? It is freeview (supposedly). Be great if the thing had actually got decent instructions embedded with it, I work with computers so have som (basic) knowledge - God knows how a complete novice would manage.

Being freeview it must be connected to an aerial the same as your normal TV is.

Forgive me for being thick, but I can't find an aerial connector - can I connect to a TV to use household aerial, or are there aerials I can buy that will connect thru Video socket?

It works no different to your normal TV!

You must connect a TV house aerial directly to the computer.

On the back of the PC will be a standard TV aerial connector socket, you plug the aerial lead in there..
