Wasn't sure where to go on this one as I'm not exactly computer literate, I've been trying to find out which graphics cards (if any) would be compatible with my ACER desktop system, I'm looking to do a bit of gaming and other such things and haven't really been able to find out much on the subject.

I don't know much, but I do know that the system is straight out of the manufacturers, and has no upgrades as of yet.

The only information I currently have, or know how to find about my system are that it
has a 925 intel pentium d processor, 1GB ddr2 memory, 250GB Sata hard disk, with a super multi drive.

Product number being ACER AM1610-B1210A

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I'm a a loss.

cant quite find your PC on the acer website. this may go beyond your comouter knowledge but does your motherboard have an AGP (Advanced graphics port) on it? if so then the best you can get would be an AGP card. If it doesnt have an AGP and is a newish computer then i would go all out and buy a PCI-E card which are the newest ones. Ask at your local PC world or computer shop for some examples for graphics cards. if you go to the helpdesk with your pc model number, not product number, they can give you a list of all the compatible cards.
