Default Upgrading, Whats the Best way to go?

Alright, so I fried my Mobo last night (And maybe the processor to, I dont know, Im not a doctor.) But, all is well, as I was planning to purchase said parts anyway.(I love an excuse to upgrade!) (However, this will leave me without a computer for at least 4 days).

What Im looking for here is essentially a new computer.
The following things will kept from my old computer and thrown into the new one.
Sound Card
Fire Wire Card
Optical Drives
160 Gb HD (x2)
Power Supply
3 80mm blue led fans

The new parts I'm looking to get are:
Case-$67-(Im an artist, so I like that part of its white, as I will be painting on it)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146039
Processor-$190 (2.66 Intel Dual Core)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029
Ram-$80 (4 Gigs Corsair)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184
Mobo-$75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135050
Video Card-$120

With all this in my new egg cart, and with shipping, (I already subtracted from the price what I would get for Mail in rebates) It comes to about $535

Heres the deal. I have about $600 to throw down for this. So, are there any mistakes Im making in product selection? What should I throw that extra $65 into? Should I fork over the almost $100 extra bucks to get the 3 Ghz Intel Duo? Or is it better of being spent to upgrade the video card or something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should go for a better motherboard and, depending on your OS, 4Gb memory maybe overkill.

Which Motherboard would you suggest? I dont exactly follow the motherboard scene, so an advice would be great. As for the 4 gb, Yeah it sounds like overkill, however there are 2 reasons Im getting it. 1.) Im hopinh to move to a 64 bit Os with 8gb of ram soon. And 2.) Untill then, I may just utilize one of the 2 gig sticks, along with my original gig stick (for a comendable 3 gigs), and let my friend use one of the other 2 gig sticks. (Untill I make the 64 bit move)

The motherboard you have chosen has onboard graphics. Did you intend to buy a graphics card since most of the better spec boards will not have onboard graphics? The Asus P5K range is a good starting point to start looking.
