| I'm having trouble with computer I'm building (for a friend for x-mas). I've got to the stage where I can turn the PC on, and have formated the hard drive in NTFS, the only problem is that halfway through installing windows xp I get an error message (bsod) KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and technical details are : 0x0000007A (0x038510C, 0x000009C,0xE1443430,0x035E4880) Any help will be greatly appreciated thx |

| It has got to be something to do with your installation CD. Have you tried using another installation CD?

Also, try swapping the ram for known good working ram and see if that solves the problem. My System: Custom Built v1.2

| All the hardware is second hand, and the instalation CD has worked fine twice before (on a different computer). Unfortunately i don't have another instalation CD, is that deffinitely the problem? As for the ram (its is second hand) I'll swap it for some other ram (also second hand unfortunately) and hope that works. Cheers for the quick reply :) |
