You might need to enable USB 2.0 in bios.

Look in Device Manager/USB Controllers and see if there's an entry titled USB2 Host Controller or USB Enhanced Host Controller.

- It does not matter what i plug into the USB port, i am still unable to get USB2.
- I have been into the BIOS and USB is enabled.
- Been into Device Manager and there is USB2 Enhanced Host Controler.

Well when i plug in my USB flash drive it says, "This USB device can preform faster if you connect it to a Hi-Speed USB2 Port. For a list of available ports click here."
I have tried all my USB ports and it still says the same thing.

That can often happen and certainly isn't unusual. I get this sometimes, when using the front USB ports, which are fed from a mobo header.
I find whenever this happens, I can usually plug the device into the rear ports (straight off the mobo) and the device is fine.
It's all part of the flakey USB interface

I always use the rear ports because the ones at the front have never worked properly.. Its all just fuc*ed up! Time to upgrade this piece of shit.
