Default Video after standby.

I have a problem with waking my computer from standby. Even though standby is being banned I would still like to correct the problem. Whenever I start from standby I have no video. I know from sounds and LEDs that the computer is active but I have nothing on my monitors. To reuse the computer I have to use the button which gives me a computer has recovered from a serious error notice. I think I have all the settings correct in BIOS and there are no other problems with the graphics. I think that the graphics card is not restarting. The motherboard is Asus P5W-DH Deluxe and the card is XFX 7600GT. Processor is E6600. The problem probably lies between the board and card.

Standard reply but are you running the latest nvidia graphics drivers?

Or are you running vista, the beta drivers available are better than the ones on nvidia's main/public site.

I am using the drivers that came with the card. It's on XP Pro. I have Vista RC1 on another drive but it is just running on Windows drivers at the moment.

Default Video after standby.

The drivers that come with cards are out of date while sitting on the shelves of the store.

Always keep them up to date mate.

NVIDIA Drivers

Get back to me.

Thanks Dave, that worked. I think the image is even sharper not that anything was wrong before. That's that sorted now what about the Avenger?

Excellent! Yeah the image may look sharper, that's quite common, new drivers are there to squeeze more power, functions etc out of your existing technology. Not just to fix bugs.
