Default video card make things worse?

sry if it was bad i started a new thread when i have active one. I jsut got a ati radeon diamond x1550 pci video card and my system performance seem to have dropped a little wut could be causeing this i got a 450 watt power supply as well cause the card need at least 420. idk has happened my games seem to be ok but windows is a bit slower wut could be going on?

what OS you using and whats the rest of your specs please

well i have 1gb patriot ram and the new vid card listed above a 450 watt rosewell power supply P4 at 2.8 ghz two 80 gb hard drives two cd burners. and the games like maybe a little bit of load time. but play def not affected. and i have triple boot going with ubuntu(soon to be removed) then vista and xp home which is the one i use the most.
