I am interested in possibly purchasing a water cooling kit for a new computer I'm building.
I just want to know from people that have had water cooling in there computers if it is messy and not worth it. Also if I do purchase a WC system? Can I get one that cools: 2 x 8800 ultra's, 3GHz intel quad core processor, DDR3 1800 MHz, Hard drive, and motherboard chipsets. Is it possible to get a system that will cool all of those components? TIA Elijah

Hi Elijah.
Yeah, you can get one, but you're going to need a very large case to fit it all into. I'd guess you'll need a triple 120mm rad to cool the two cards, a triple 120mm rad for the cpu and you'd probably get away with a single 120mm rad for the hdd, chipset and ram. I'm guessing, but I gather you have either the P35 chipset, maximus or X38. If so, don't worry about cooling the southbridge because on all mobo's with these chipsets the southbridge is cooled via a heatpipe to the northbridge. If you're going this far I'd also see about w/cooling the vrm's on the motherboard. There is no single all-in-one solution that will cool the components you mention. These solutions barely cool the cpu's to a better degree over a good hsf. You're also going to need deep pockets for the item's i've mentioned above. have a look at this site and spec up a cooling kit to see what I'm talking about from a cost perspective.
