what computer is better for me to get?
i like to play games and download stuff and alot more.

The first. Faster cpu and a graphics card that can make use of the ram attached to it rather than the second card in the second build which won't ever make use of the extra 256mb ram.

Note that neither of them are really that great (45nm processor is better as would be a gfx update).

TinyXP is great for computers with lower memory. However, you could use XP, it will probably run good but you'll have to tweak it a bit to get optimal performance. For the desktop I'd install Windows XP regular on it, as 512mb is definitely enough for XP alone.

Also, as for anti-virus, NOD32 is an excellent choice due to it's low memory footprint. If you want a free alternative, I highly recommend AVG Free - it's free, and it's low on resources. They are both great.
