| I was given an Amstrad PC3086 which was my first computer. Didn't use it much and lost interest. Years later I got a Dell Dimension 2400 which got me interested in computers. The first that I built consisted of an Abit A8S-V, P4 3.0, 1Gb DDR400, 80Gb HDD and ATI Radeon 9550 graphics running XP home.

| Mine was one of those too , with tape drive and tv.I think the next one was a custom build (down to a very low price). I seem to remember i286 for the chip @ 33MHz (with turbo switch ) It was in a tower and we had a small mono-chrome monitor, ps2 keyboard and mouse. It was built to just exceed the minimum specs for an OU 2nd year computer course I did, because we didn't have the finances to buy higher specs. At that time it was a fairly average spec, not a high spec gaming computer. I'm pretty sure I had DOS 6.2 with Windows 3.11, two separate systems. |

| MY first computer was a Windows 3.1 that got donated to my Dad, and he had no use for it. Spec wise I have no idea, except that it had extended memory and took ages to do the POST mem test. The next PC I had was an XP, stil got it: Pentium IV 2.0GHz, 256MB RAM (Now upgraded to 768MB), 60GB IDE HDD (Now 250GB), 32MB nVIDIA m64 AGP graphics. Currently I'm on a Vista Ultimate 32bit: Q6600 2.4GHz, 2x500GB SATA II drives, 4GB RAM, 1GB nVIDIA 8800GT |
