however it is not meant to make members feel their computer is inferior as the people in the top ten have more money than they should or spend more than they can afford

no i just ordered the mobo .... i got it all but the graphics card, the only thing stopping me is the fact that the graphics card and mobo are out of stock

Mines aimed a being a media pc. I do a lot of vid encoding, photoshop stuff and the odd bit of gaming. Hence the 8800GT, and the 2tb storage. Would have preferred a lower spec card but I need some oomph as I'm running a 24" screen. The soundcard plays it's part also, replaces the Extreme music card in the X-fi range, EAX, Dolby DTS support although it seems to prefer analogue surround, still, it's rather cheap for the spec.

I'll be oc'ing as well though, hence the liquid cooling for the quad and the reference speeds on the GT.

Your spec is decidedly a gaming build Cewy, in games you'll have me beat by quite a margin although the oc on the quad (if you do) will come into this. I need a powerful all-rounder though.

We just have different needs.
