Default Is it worth changing to a widescreen monitor?

Thinking of upgrading to a wide-screen monitor, not sure what's out there at the moment that's good....

Any recommendations?

Don't think there are any benefits other than they look good.

I will check if all my software is compatible before I switch don't want games streching accross it. Only just got a Pro TFT for designers a year ago so it will be a long time yet.

The more you pay the greater the tone range/ contrast ratio, viewing angle, pixel response and the brightness is more even all over the screen. The TFT I have on my main computer has colour to match pantone books. I have a cheapo TFT on the rendering computer it's awfull compared to this one.

I use the Formac Gallery Raven 20.1" this one breaks the ruel of the more you pay the better it is.

Well i know im not going to be updating to a widescreen yet, but I will tell you that the new Windows Vista already comes pre-configured for you to have 2 computer monitors so i think im going to play off that one first. And I know some of you will ask what you need two monitors for, well a bunch of things actually...but its only something that few people will need.
