Default Would like some expert opinions. THANKS!

Thanks for viewing my thread! The Computer Forums Rocks!

I have decided to upgrade my current system to something a little better for gaming and to possibly run Vista with ease. Below is a list of what I have and then what I'm wanting to upgrade to. Please reply and give me any suggestions as to what you would or would NOT do.

Below is how I will list everything
Currently own - Upgrade

Video Card - Really need a solid DirectX 10 card for Vista & Crysis
EVGA 7950GT 512MB - EVGA 8800GTS 512MB 256-bit 1940MHz Memory Clock... and would 2 of these on my ASUS 570-SLI help a lot?

CPU - I will always stay true to stability.
AMD X2 4600+ - AMD X2 6400+ w/Zalman 9500 heatsink/fan and Arctic Silver 5

RAM - I have always been a huge fan of Kingston, no matter what the cost!
2X1GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 800 PC2 6400 - I want to add 2X2GB to bring my total to 6GIGS. Then later maybe replace my 2 1GIG sticks with 2 more 2GIG sticks.

Power Supply - OK... Im not sure if this is a MUST have, but I dont want to take any chances of UNDER-powering my system. What do you think?
I currently have a Rosewill 550W - Do I need to upgrade? If so a Thermaltake 750W PSU is what Im looking at. After that they get pretty costly.

OS - Last but for sure not the least. I want to try Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
I currently have Windows XP Pro 32-bit.

ONE OTHER QUESTION ABOUT VISTA PLEASE!!
I order everything from Newegg.com. Will I run into problems buying a second OEM OS for my system?

Thanks again for viewing. I hope to upgrade very soon, please leave all the feedback you can stand. Im very much open to anything!!!

Everything looks good to me the only thing is the CPU i personally would get a Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 for the price but then again i stick to Intel Religously.

banjo, if i were you, i wouldn't even bother mentioning the word Intel on a thread where the person already has AMD stuff. what's the point? they won't just go out and buy another computer because someone thinks they should go with a different company..

i'm not flaming i'm just saying that its not even worth suggesting it if they aren't going to switch... (this may sound more malicious than it actually is.)

as for OEM vista...the thing with buying OEM vista is once you install it on a machine, you can't move it if i'm not mistaken. i'm not 100% on that, so you may want to hear about it from another poster. but i think that's what it means. if you simply want to install it, then it's no biggie. but when it comes to planning for the future, and making sure you can legally just delete it and move it to another comp, then i'd double check going with OEM.

just thought i'd throw that out there.

OK everthing looks pretty good on there.
About the video card, SLI is not worth it unless you have a screen with a huge res capacity on it. So I would recomend just getting one 8800GT.

Yeah, I kinda overlooked that part. I dont have a problem with Intel as far as performance, but I think they butcher their loyal customers with wacked out prices! I mean come on!! $1,000+++ what the heck? I can get just as pleasing of a performance from a much cheaper priced, very stable, cpu with AMD. More power to Intel for selling those high dollar cpu's but really, why? Takes one to know one I suppose. Thanks for the reply.
