Default 2 Anti-virus progs?

After several problems with AVG free I've uninstalled it using Revo uninstaller - user settings , reg . entries the lot . Now installed Avast but my security center shows both of them & says 'multiple anti-virus programs show that they are turned on & up to date' . Am on my spare machine now as I'm wary of using laptop at the minute. Any advice pls as this thing is ancient
Am running Vista home premium on laptop .

Is AVG listed in add/remove programs? Remove it from there.

Not too sure, you could try running the reg fix in CCleaner, that may well sort it.

Default 2 Anti-virus progs?

Try their RECOMMENDED BASIC AVG UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS to uninstall it.

Let us know if it's gone after that.

You may need to reinstall it first.
