Default anyone used portable apps?

hello guys,

anyone used portable apps?

just want to know if you can install any program (nero, photoshop, everest) on portable apps or if it's just a few select programs made specially for it (firefox etc)

if so, or if not even, do you rate it?

cheers,

buchanan

yeah, i saw gimp on the site,

so is it only for certain apps, or could you install whatever you wanted like photoshop, everest, everest etc, (i only use these as examples of programs i couldn't find listed as portableapps apps on the site).

if you could have any app you wanted on there that'd be good

Anything that has to be installed is not considered portable.
The portable versions of programs are usually Lite versions of the main program.
They don't write to the registry, and all temp folders are erased when the portable is removed.
