| Often when we first turn our main desktop PC on in a morning, it will "crash" onto a Blue Screen and we have to switch PC off and re-start. This can happen once, several times, or surprisingly not at all We have done an anti virus scan, also defragged and even taken the PC into be looked at by a Professional.... typically the PC behaved when he looked at it!!! Apparently my Brother received an Instant Messenger via MSN Messenger inadvertently from my Son, which had a link to a webpage on it that apparently gave his computer a virus. The Blue Screen has several different letters and numbers on it... Letters include :- BAD_POOL_HEADER IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONE_PAGE_AREA DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL PFN_LIST_CORRUP PRISMAO2.SYS-ADDRESS F53C32SF base at F539B0000, datestamp 4069F4da The numbers are generally lots of "0s" etc. I have heard anti virus software does not always prevent viruses. Can anyone help me with this because I am at a loss! |

| Closing this thread until more information is found out about the malware. Some of those errors are classicly malware related. Trying to fix a computer with malware present is pointless and will just lead to more problems for those helping with the malware removal. I will reopen this topic if needed when/if the malware is cleaned. |
