Default Boot From CD with connection to internet

To clean a hard disk using Data Cleaner+ I need to boot up using cd drive having already connected to internet. I know how to boot from cd but do not know how I can connect to internet without firing up my Windows. (Data Cleaner+ will not work within windows)
Any suggestions please?

You need TCP/IP to get online and that is in Windows, what you want to do is impossible as far as I know.

All I can say is that on using the Data Cleaner+ cd resulte in a message "Unable to set up interface network card. Please check input"
Blancco Data Cleaner advise me that "that is because you are not connected to internet so (1) Connect to internet (2) Boot from CD" I assume that somehow it is possible ?!!!

Well, Live Linux CDs manage it all the time! Even with WiFi access!

This might help:

Could be that your network card uses a special driver not on the CD.

Yeah, but, pebuilder CD boots into a version of windows, so not sure how that or running linux is different from running full XP.

Ah, sorry! I thought it meant "Will not work in My Windows in My Machine" rather than "Will not work in Windows booted from a CD, without the files on my machine being in use?"

So, you need a command prompt with TCP/IP enabled. Is there anything here?
