This happened before but too rarely to be considered an issue however starting April the issue has grown to daily and then to the point windows would crash during boot. Originally my pc simply turned off and rebooted then it started doing the same then preceeded by blue screen.
At first I thought it was a virus but when the same thing happened during installation of a clean copy I decided it was a hardware issue. I ran a memory test(0 errors) and changed the video card, that left me with CPU, MB and power supply. At that point I thought that if its the cpu raising the voltages through bios should help stability, and it did but only after I raised all the voltages except memory. The pc started booting but continued deteriorating so I dropped the CPU multiplier dropping the clock. After lowering the clockspeed I stopped getting bsod's but now the pc started crashing when I start it after sleep/power it on. In the first case it wakes up and runs for about a minute or two and then crashes almost as if I unplugged power, then proceeds as on power on. When the pc is booting up it may crash during the windows booting screen but if it doesnt it works fine until next time I boot it. I also noticed that if im only using textpad or something else light it may crash but doesnt when I switch to games/photoshop. If anyone knows what my problem might be I'd be very grateful. PS My PC: MB: MSI P35 Neo, CPU: Core2Duo E6750, Video: Radeon HD 2600XT, RAM: 2x Patriot (2x1gb) PC2-6400 |
