Hello All!

I am having problems with my computer. I have recently finished building my PC running 2 7600GT graphics cards in SLI mode. I have a quad core Q6600 processor and a 500W power supply. Along with all sorts will let you know if you need to..anywho, whenver I am playing my games and even sometimes as I am starting up my computer freezes and my screen image has thin lines going vertically down the screen and the only thing I can do is to restart, now when Vista restarts it does its solutions check and says it hasn't got the latest graphic drivers for the cards which is Bull as it is all up to date or repair the OS with the CD I have which I have done and I still have the same problem. Is it because I dont have enough power??? Please help as this is really annoying me!!

Cheers.

It's the drivers, based upon you stating you've the most upto date ones. And I've not reason to doubt you.

Vista and SLI still don't like each other in certain games, especially dual-card encoded games. The error you're getting about the drivers not being the most current is simply because Vista doesn't have an error message built in saying "I'm crap and buggy and these drivers, whilst stable, won't work with me". So it's going with (pretty much) a generic error display.

I'd disable one card and just play on one until the drivers issue is ironed out by Nvidia.

Actually, I'm probably wrong here, IIRC only the 88xx series are recommended for use with Vista.

Alex, Cheers buddy. Vista, what a pain in the ass, I am so tempted to go back to XP but then I cant run 4gb RAM when I can afford it. Will give it a go with the old single graphic card. Why is vista such a pain in the ass with its drivers? I really want to get crysis and call of duty 4 up and running asap because they would look awsome on my computer!!

Cheers mate.
