Hello. I believe I've reached a dead end.

I'm attempting to customize a desktop. I'd like have the option to load various wallpaper, and have an icon set w/the positions remembered, with them. Simple enough, but here's the thing...

I've found apps that do the above, with a glaring exception. The problem is my third party apps that are on the desktop, which make up the majority of what's there. All the apps I find effect only the system apps, of which I use all of two - fairly useless in this case.

I'm actually building a system for a friend, and would like them to have multiple desktop options (at a click if possible), where the icons I've created sit nicely with the various wallpapers, both in style and position.

Are there no apps that can recall different themes/sets I create for third party app icons? Am I looking for something that simply doesn't exist? I'm at a loss and my Google fingers are falling off.

Thanks much for any info!

Can't believe I didn't include my OS! XP Pro. That looks quite interesting - thanks! I'll go take a closer look.

Not as flashy, but "Desktops" does the same job, I use that on my Home Premium system.

Not sure if this is the same one as listed above, but Kano posted a "how to' video on a similar program in the thread posted below. I think his post is the third one on the thread. LOL It will be obvious since it's an imbedded youtube link.
