Hey guys:
Does anyone know a simple way to delete files that have already been deleted using windows or a free program? Only; I have known for a while now that when you delete a file or folder it isnt actually deleted, the key or file path is deleted and its stored in what is known as an unused sector if i am right. ![]() I havnt really been bothered about this before i downloadeda file recovery program, noticing the many thousands of files that have been deleted that can also be recovered. Just for security reasons, say i wanted to sell my hard disk drive or stop other people recovering personal and important files, is there a way to delete deleted files without completely bleaching the whole drive, including windows? Many thanx to anyone who can help!

You would need to get it wiped. Which can cost about £2.50
However you want to keep windows. Ummm, not sure if holding shift while deleting, does this. Umm, will keep an eye out for you. |
