| Has anyone got experience of changing partitions without formatting? There are the usual commercial ones such as Partition Magic but also some free ones such as Ranish Partition Manager, Partition Logic etc. Are the free ones reliable or do they disappear your data? |

| It's always a gamble, but on paper they should behave themselves.

| Got to admit I've not used the free ones but Partition Magic works well, used it for years through the various upgrades and never lost a byte. |
