Default Display settings change after re-boot

I keep my display settings set for Win classic none, for screen saver but, after I installed Fire Fox, when I restart the pc the settings change to XP settings when it boots up with XP screen saver and the green start at the bottom which I always set to none for screen saver also but it won't hold the settings I choose in display once it's shut down or is rebooted? is The Fire Fox I installed causing this or something else? Thanks for any help. Also, I make sure to click save when I change them back?

I have no idea what you are saying..... Maybe more punctuation would help in between the longest sentence ever.

I think what you are saying is that you have XP set to the 'classic' theme, but after a firefox install, you now always boot with the XP 'fisher price' theme even after setting it back to 'classic'.
Is that right?

I had that problem with my old laptop... normally I'd just reboot and it would be fixed.

I never had FireFox installed and still had the issue. It's definately a strange thing though.

Only other thing I can think of is editing the registry directly.
Check out this page:

Look at 214, it may be what you want (no guarantee and try to verify via other pages)
