Default Don't you just love Vista?

Since installing, not through choice but because all my customers are buying it and I need to support it, I have had to replace my £100 printer, my sound card and now my digital camera is refusing to install and all because of no driver support.

Sucks!

Microsoft is a terrible company, but printer manufacturers have to sell the latest model, if the most popular operating system in the world doesn't support it, what choice do you have!

I'm sticking with XP for as long as I can before they stop supporting it (and I'm sure they'll slow down well before they said they would).

It is really down to the manufacturer of the printer, sound card or digital camera to support their product regardless of the operating system.

Microsoft are only giving the consumer what they want, which is in general better quality, which is why they released vista and DX10.

It was also released early due to add-on manufacturers demanding, they were complaining they couldn't advance the technology with the current xp version. Then they all sit around and refuse to make their current products work with it.

Basically the printer, graphics card etc manufacturers are conning their current customers in to purchasing new products.

It's a ******* joke.

I hate miserysoft.....

Nuff said. But if you're basically the only game in town it's a captive audience isn't it. Marketing one.oh.one.

Other than eye candy, Vista isn't a huge jump from XP. I'm sure it does a few things better but it has as many bugs as XP did when it first came out.

The things like scrolling through windows in 3d and the glass effect drain resources and while they look amazing, they serve no real purpose.

Put it this way, if you're running a legal up to date version of XP, there is no need to upgrade to Vista yet.

I like the design of Vista. I haven't had a chance to check it out much yet. We have it on one of our computers. If I like it then maybe I'll install it on my computer. Right now I'm using Windows XP.

Default Don't you just love Vista?

I bought a new computer just after Christmas, it cost me quite a bit of money. All the cheap computers on the website I got mine from included the Vista upgrade, but my more expensive one didn't.

So I have not yet tried Vista so I cannot comment it.

I haven't bought Vista as I am aware of this problem! There is an online program that allows you to see if your computer is up for the upgrade, mine does not have a good enough video card, does not have enough CPU and the processor is too slow. In total to upgrade, it would cost about the same as a new computer with it all pre-installed for me!
