Wicked, my norton just ran out...

Is this any good?

How hard is it to setup?

Its the best Free anti-virus out in my opinion.

I'd prefer to use it over any paid alternative too.

Its also very simple to setup, I'm 100% sure you could do it fine.

Dave.

I'm running this at the moment, and to be honest I don't like it that much - I think that AVG is better, and will be going back to it soon.

I've found that Avast throws up a lot of false positives - a lot of the things that I run, I know what they do, and want them installed, but it insists that they are spyware :(

I have been using AVG also but I have heard nothing but great things on this one. I might try this one if I were to start having problems AVG.

I have used avast antivirus for quite long time before. Its good and doesnt strain the resources of PC like norton, but its rather limited to catching a few viruses. Even after regular updates it could barely protect my computer from viruses over on my LAN at my work place which has loads of viruses attacking as it is unprotected wireless connection.

Can you elaborate on what it has missed?

I run Avast on a wireless connection and have had no problems at all.
Check out this post.

I strongly disagree with that, Avast picks up everything, fact.
