No problem. The Gimp can do everything that Photoshop can only it is free. It is a different learning curve but if you are already familiar with PS the you should be able to pick it up fairly quick.

Moved to new thread since this is OT from the desktops.

I can't personally (yet) but I have seen people do as good of work with Gimp as with PS. There are tutorials and it has had multiple updates in the last few months. It's getting better.

indeed most linux users use gimp, as it is open source and comes with most distro's
i found it hard to navigate and to use but its a good free alternative to ps

True, a different learning curve that can be difficult.

Here is a good site for learning more about it. http://members.home.nl/m.weisbeek/gimp/

downloaded Gimp when you gave me the link and i didn't even start using it till today, watched a few videos on it and here's my beginners pics Before/After

Before

After

Just removed a few skin blemishes around the nose and chin,
changed the colour of her eyes, hair, and finger nails. So far I've found it to be a little more confusing to start with then PS but just as good. Well I'm off to watch a few more tuts on youtube ^_^
