Default Hard drive/Privacy Security

I want to make it so that nobody can view anything stored on my computer. I would like some recommendations for this. I require max privacy. It might help to know that my pc may be confisticated by a government instance soon. I do not have anything illegal on my pc nor did I do something illigal.
My pc has to be usable for me though. I am not going to destroy my hard drive. ;)

Thanks a lot in advance.

I cant think of your situation, but have you considered a removeable Hard Drive Caddy.
This will allow you to remove the Hard Drive and store it remotely.

Look, there is no way, remotely possible that you can hide who you are, or what you view on your computer. Your internet service proveder stories everything you view, wireless connections at coffee shops store a signiture from your computer. Are you giving details of voilet murders? envirmental terrorist? Probably not. Your records are a warrant away, whats on your hard drive does not matter. i like true crypt. Or pretty good privacy
