Ineed help installing a new hard drive on my dell 3000 series my old one stoped running i ordered a new one from dell for this model I have no information or intallation instrutions.I dont know what im doing, but i was able to remove the old one and installed th new one with some online help it's taking me to the blue screen where the bios information is at i dont know what the old operating system was what do i do now help please.

if the pc has a recovery disk you could try and boot from it and do a fresh install, might work

Just plug the new drive in like for like as the old one was.

Being a Dell you should have some recovery/operating CDs that came with it.

Boot of the OS disc and install onto what is now a blank hard drive.
