Default Hide My IP Program issue

Hello
I have purchased and downloaded this program and am having issues with the following messages when i try and run it:

The proxy server is refusing connections

Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

* Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.

* Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is
working.

I have contacted the company who provide it and they have been little short of 'rubbish'

My PC knowledge is low

I am using BT (UK) broadband
Windows XP
Simple Dell desk top

Any help would be great, Thanks

from what though ?? when was the last time you heard about someone trying to hack via an IP address there are much more safisticated ways. A decent firewall will do the the same and tell you when your being attacked. The i would imagin that his ISP probable forbids it anyway.

The answer of course is this just means a misconfigured proxy and we can't provide help for specialty software (i.e. something nobody of us uses).
