hi everyone, i need some help with viewing the history of a certain file. it could be the deciding factor whether i get a criminal charge or not
. if any body can please help as i am not very good with computers i will realy appreciate it. what i want to find out, is there a way to see exactly when a file has been opened and/or searched for? i need to see the date and time the file was searched for and opened, and if possible the history of recent documents opened if it is not displayed any more. maybe there is a special program i can download and use or some special place i need to look in or something i need to type or click somewhere that will give me the information i need.if anyone can help me get this information i will be very greatfull. thanks for your time |

im not sure if you can view the full history of a file but you can view when it was last modified and opened by right clicking on the file and clicking properties. hope that helps.

The above suggestion is all you're going to get. Windows should have "Created", "Modified", and "Accessed" times, but that's all.
As an aside if I were under investigation for a criminal case I would not be turning to a amateur forum for advice. Not only is this illegal under most jurisdictions (if we were all US or UK citizens, for example, we could be likely charged with conspiracy), it's just not a good idea when your life is on the line.
