Default How do I Install Driver on XP

I have recently had problems with my PC and I have had to reinstall XP. The problem I have now is that my monitor is now showing as the default monitor and not the Relisys monitor it was. I have tried to install the driver but it either won't let me or I don't know how to do it properly. I have used add hardware but it thinks everything is fine. Please help someone.

Right click on My computer and select Properties. Under the hardware tab, open Device manager.
Click the scan for hardware changes button (One at the end on the right) and see if that brings anything up.

Otherwise, go to the monitors section and right click on "Default Monitor". Try update driver.

Default How do I Install Driver on XP

Sorry for being thick I have tried the first idea, no joy. Where do I find the monitors section if it's in display then that just says Default monitor and will not let me do anything to it. Thanks for the help though.

Default How do I Install Driver on XP

Whatever was installed in my dell pc. If I explain on disply it says that it has the default monitor. I have downloaded a driver for my Relisys te988 monitor and I had it working fine from when I got it. I have recently had to reinstall XP to cure another problem and now I cannot install my monitor. Even if I go through add hardware and click on the install item myself when I click on monitor it does not give me any options as to type of monitors and then if I click have disk and run the driver it tells me that it is not the driver for my device. Is it the driver, I hope not as it was hard to find
