Hey Guys

Ok i hope i get all this in, here goes.
About 2 years ago I learned a bit more bout pc's. So i went out with a friend we bought all the stuff, ok here is a list of my complete system atm:
Gigabyte MotherB, nVidia nForce4-
4x PCI-E *16 K8 Socket 939
2x PCI-F
4x DDR400 Dual -CH
8 CH Audio
4 Sata
10 USB (ok all this i copied of the box lol)
Then:
AMD Athlon 3000 CPU (oh yes this is a gigabyte MotherB) With fan and heatsink
4x 512ram = 2GB Ram
LG DVD Re-Writer
Toshiba DVD Rom/CD-RW
Floppy Drive
2x 250GB Maxtor Sata Hard Drives
ATi Rage 256MB PCI-E graphics
And another card that gives me 2x USB & firewaire high speed slots.
Thats the whole system.
My problem is ive had this box now for 17 months in that time i have formatted the bloody thing 3 times. Last night its now 00h27 everything just started going slow and slow and 2 of my programs which i use everyday gave me errors. i thought ok and did a soft reboot, like i always do cause i love my pc, and my favourite error came on ntldr missing press ctrl+alt+del. WTF!! And this is the 2nd time this now happens. I got help all the previous times from friends and forums they said use spyware, registry mechanics stuff like that, well i did. This things has been running smooth now since December. And when i went to repair console my secondary drive where all my music, pics and stuff is on is c: and my main is d: what the hell?? what should i do. ive tried all the stuff, copy missing files and boot disk no luck. is there something im missing. i dont know pc's that well but know more than the average bloke. do u think my Hard drives are packing up? whats wrong ??

OK guys my essay is finished :)

All help will be highly appreciated.

Cheers
SG

Found this
Maybe it will work for you
  1. Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
  2. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
  3. Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
  4. Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
  5. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
  6. Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter "E". This letter may be different on your computer.

    copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
    copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot

Take it easy on the registry cleaners. One falsely reported entry removed and your whole system can be crippled.
Registry cleaners are over rated anyway. CCleaner has about the safest registry cleaner there is.

Here is the Microsoft article on NTLDR Missing. And possible causes.
