A few weeks ago I had the blue screen of death and had to reinstall windows XP home I have a partitioned hard drive ‘C’ and ‘D’ all my data is stored on ‘D’ and most of my data is ok except data that was stored in D: \Documents and Settings\dadscomputer which included all my music files. There is now a folder in D: \Documents and Settings called TMPACCOUNT if I put the mouse pointer over it comes up folder empty if I try to open it I am told access is denied. I know my files are in there as when I use Defraggler I can see them

In particular "If you are running Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in safe mode, and then log on with an account that has administrative rights in order to access the Security tab. Access to the Security tab is required in order to change security permission."
