hi i would like to learn java but in all the tutorials i get up to compiling my first program and i have to type is dos javac and something but dos says it does not reconise javac as a command.

i am using windows vista and i have JDK V12 installed and i would like to be able to compile PLEASE HELP

also if you can offer a good tutorial please post here (IN FUTURE I WOULD LIKE TO CREATE A MASSIVE MMORPG, NOT ALONE OF COURSE)

have you set up the path? like

set path = "location of the compiler"

the compiler is in a certain folder and that is where you should set your path to.
