No Release Notes yet. http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Good news. It removed the old version automatically.

I decided it would be a good time to upgrade from Version 7 as well lol.
Oh well. My old man says, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. Hmmm, it didn't remove Update 7 for me. Had to do it manually.

I think it will only remove version 10 since that was the most recent.

I think you can do either a static install, which will leave any previous versions (ideal for Admins) or it should overwrite the previous version, assuming that was v10.
I've heard a few folk say it won't uninstall anything prior to v10. |

I'll confirm that - v11 automatically removed/updated v10.

I've seen a few reports that it doesn't remove anything under v6u10 so if you have anything earlier then that you need to manually uninstall. Or use JavaRA.

Sun released a huge list of vulnerabilities in old versions. If you haven't updated in a while it would probably be a good idea to do so now.
