hi, im new to the forum and im here because i need some help. i dont know if this is a correct place that i should put this but it seems like the most fitting section.

my laptop is a acer travelmate 4500, xp service pack 2.

my problem is this...



on a white background the "image" is blue, on black its red.

i got this after i ran a .divx file which isnt ever a problem and shouldnt be. i have tried a few things to fix it but can only manage temp fixing by applying some pressure to the laptop. i have done a system restore which had no effect, i have preped my files so i am able to do a reboot but i wouldnt like to resort to that.

ps. i ran about 5 defrags in the past 2 days as my HD was very fragmented.

please help me out if you have any info. thanks.

Not a good sign, but just curious does it correct itself when you lower the resolution?
