Default "Load Optimized Defaults" question

Hiya.

I reformatted my pc, but it was having a bit of a problem, so I selected "Load Optimized Defaults" in my XP Pro Bios, and now it's still having the same problem. I need to reformat, but because "Load Optimized Defaults" is loading, the bios doesn't come up, it just goes straight to windows.
How can I take "Load Optimized Defaults" off so I can reformat again?
I need to get back into my Bios settings.
(The problem is to do with my pc, don't need to solve it, just need to know how to reformat cause my Bios won't come up, so it won't load from CD.)

You should be able to press a key when your computer boots to enter the BIOS. What make is it?

If you open your case and remove the BIOS battery for a few mins that will reset the BIOS back to normal defaults.
