Default Lost Access to Windows Defender- Add Remove Programs

I can not get access to my firewall, windows defender, add remove programs. I am getting appilcation failed to initailize 0x800 106ba and for the security centre i am getting can not find rundll32.exe I have tried a few virus checks avira, spybot, ad adaware has anyone got any suggestions?...

Are you using McAffee AV or firewall?

The reason I asked is literally right before I read your post I was researching a different firewall issue and came across some stuff with McAffee messing with the MS firewall after an update. If that were the case I was going to direct you to that article. But since it's not, try this, it worked for me.

Edit: Crap, that is for firewall, you said defender. Let me look again. I'll get it for you later today. Sorry.

EDIT-2: Just to clarify, if you hit Start> Computer> Local Drive (C:)> Program Files, there is no file in there for Windows Defender?

Ok, the Rundll.exe error means that the C:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe file is missing or corrupted. See if running a sfc /scannow command can fix this system file for you.

EDIT: The dude that wrote the above tutorial is a freaking windows genius and he makes it simple enough for even a dummy like me. If that doesn't work let me know and we'll try something different.
