Ok i think it would be cool if i could make my computer say good morning to me in the morning and good afternoon in the afternoon.

I just dont no how 2 do it, and i dont even no if that is possible. If it is possible could someone tell me how 2 do it ?

You need speech recognition software for this. I know that a few uear back a company in Belgium was eperimenting with this sort of stuff and got their speech software so far that appart from dictation, you could also let your computer talk.

Having said that, as far as I remember, the software was quite expensive an I;m not sure if it still around after Microsoft bought all theyr assets after the company went dust due to a big scandal...

ANyway, your startof point would be to look around for some software with the LHS (Lernhout & Houspie) label on it.

or your could do what i have done.. soo simple.. go to > http://www.research.att.com/%7Ettsweb/tts/demo.php

type in what you want it to say save the file. then go to start then controll panell then sounds/speach and audio Device then click change the sound scheme. then click on (example) windows log off and use your sound you just made and your done

Ive got tht speech recongnition on my laptop, it came with it on when i got it for crimbo.

Followed your link, and now when ever i log off my computer says "good bye kano" and when i log on it says " hey kano" It really freaked my girlfriend out... kinda gives me some ideas for her computer

the same happend to me am not sure if she thinks its cool or not tho she just said you geek! when my downloads are finished my pc says YOUR DOWNLOADS ARE COMPLETE AT 100% by the way my pc is called vikki now
