I have the choice between taking the Microsoft 70-270, Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional certification exam or the Microsoft 70-260 Configuring windows Vista client.
Which would you guys recommend and why? |

I would say the Vista one, it's newer, and even if vista isn't currently being used as much as XP in server configurations, it will be in the near future, also Windows 7 will be closer to Vista than XP.

Yeah, I'd agree with thingie, in almost every situation it's best to take the newer option.
I didn't want to dual boot so when I got my new PC (just after Vistas launch) I opted Vista, because it'll remain up-to-date for longer, and therefore more support for it. (Notice I said almost every situation, so please no angry comments stating situations when older is better "Back in my day...")

On the other hand, we are all more familiar with good, old XP - 70-290 is fairly easy as well, I passed it 2 months ago :)
