Looking about I have heard that there is going to me new Microsoft programs for the new Vista e.g. Windows Media Player 11.
Are all programs going to be new & updated on Vista? Also is Microsoft office 2007 meant for vista to? I have used Microsoft Office 2007 and looking at screen shots of Vista it looks like a similar look. |

I'm running the Vista Beta, and I really, really detest the new version of Windows Media player. I spent ages setting it back to 'classic' for all the options - the new version is far too cluttered and trys to push too much on you.
There are other things that have changed in Vista - there are a number of changes to the games, and even stuff like paint has had a minor brush-over with things being moved around a bit. I haven't tried Office 2007 yet - by the time I could be bothered to download it they had started charging for it. It seems to me most of the changes are cosmetic. Things are faster and more stable though :) |

I'm pretty sure that the whole Microsoft Office will be updated for the release of Vista. Microsoft is going to use the opportunity to make somemore bucks :?
IE will also be updated along with many new programs added along the line. Because of Apple's attacks at Microsoft saying that their OS comes with no "fun" programs - viewing pictures, making movies - you can be sure that Vista will include more of those. |

Microsoft is forcing gamers to buy Vista by not bringing out Direct 10 for Windows XP. They will want to make Vista only software too so that we will have a need to upgrade.

How much do you reckon Vista is going to cost? I reckon it is going to cost a bomb because it's a new operating software plus they are updating 'everything' for it.
