| Had a bit more of a look (I know I said I'd sleep.. I really must soon! ) if I'm logged in as the "real" Admin, I will be able to restrict access to certain programs?I couldn't find a tut specifically on this on the site... Cheers

| Hey, we had a bad storm roll through and the internet died. LOL I was typing directions on what you need when I lost connection yesterday. I'll be back later to walk you through it. I think I found out EXACTLY what you want. Don't have time to run through it again right now. BBL |

| Ok Ollie, I'm back. In short yes and yes. Yes Vistax64 advise works for 32 bit Vista (86x) and yes you can stop stuff logged on as the Admin. Actually it's seems to be quite simple. Go to Computer > C: > Program files > porn file (lol) > and right click the file you want to restrict. Next click properties and then security. Note, you MUST be in an admin account to do this. Under the "group or user names" box you will see a tab for Edit. Click that. Now in the "group or user names" box you can hightlight the person you want. Do so. Now go down to the box that is open below that which is "Permissions for <whatever name you highlighted> . Click deny in every instance. Hit apply and close the box. Also I THINK that when you click the edit button you could just highlight the user name you wanted and then click the remove button to deny them access. I haven't tried that lol but it seems like it would work. I mean hell, you could just add them again if that was too drastic and action.......... If that doesn't work let me know. |

| Cheers, I'll try it now. Does that have to be just my admin account that I made or does it need to be the hidden "REAL" admin account? Actually I guess I'll find out before you're back online

| So did you find out? It should work with either one though. |

| It does work with normal Admin yeah. But like a complete fool I blocked access to WinPatrol for the administrating group, ie. me. Bugger. Sometime soon I think I'll have to reformat and reinstall anyway, so I'll just do it more carefull once that's done. Cheers for the help

| Before you reformat: A: Try to use the "hidden" admin account to unblock yourself lol or B: Try a restore from a point before you did that C: Go to that forum and ask Brink. He's really smart and very cool. It's the site owner that is psycho. he goes by a zfollowed by digits and numbers. Avoid him lol. |

| Cheers I nearly did that, but to be honest I can't be bothered. I'm needing to reformat again for other reasons anyway, so I may as well. Thanks for that exactly what I was after rep given
