i tried installing a driver for my new "no name brand" webcam. when i click on the software, it says "Error 80004005: Cannot create video capture filter". What can i do to fix this? i know that the webcam and software work, because i used it on another computer before. under the "devices" tab on the software, it has the "Cirrus Logic USB-DVR2 Source" box checked. i don't know if this is important or not. please help me with this. i am baffled.

Did you install the software prior to plugging in the device? Remove everything and start fresh, install the software then plug in the device, it should install. Then reboot.

i just tried the method that you told me, and still nothing worked. when i had it working on another computer, i remember selecting another option other than the "Cirrus Logic USB-DVR2 Source" under the devices tab. would this have something to do with it?
