Im running Windows XP on a Dell inspiron 1525.

I bought a USB connected Midi controller (MD-PS-1) to control Motion Dive on this machine.

I connect the controller, the Found New Hardware Wizard initiates. I use the wizard to install the drivers. The drivers install successfully and the computer recognizes the controller and says it is now installed and ready for use.
When I run Motion Dive it says "Midi Controller not detected, please connect controller" and the program shuts down.

Furthermore I can install the drivers for the controller successfully, but when I unplug the controller and plug it back in, the found new hardware wizard reopens and wants to install the drivers again as if it does not recognize the device that I just installed.

I think the main problem here is that the machine is installing the drivers but somehow not keeping them? is that possible? I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them several times with the same results. I have also installed this program and device on another machine and it works just fine so i dont think the problem is with the product itself.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and possibly rewarded with cookies.

Love,
Justin
